SCIC Receives the Delegation from HSBC Bank and Discusses New Opportunities

On the morning of September 28, 2023, at SCIC’s headquarters, SCIC Deputy General Director welcomed and worked with the delegation from HSBC Bank led by Mr. Stephen Brade - Managing Director, Regional Head of Multinationals, Asia-Pacific.

Attending the meeting on behalf of SCIC were Mr. Le Thanh Tuan - Deputy General Director of SCIC and representatives of SCIC Professional Committees.

During the meeting, Mr. Le Thanh Tuan - Deputy General Director of SCIC introduced his organization and shared some information about SCIC's recent business performance, shared some information about the investment environment in Vietnam and opportunities for cooperation for foreign investors and businesses participating in the process of divestment and equitization of state-owned enterprises.

Likewise, Mr. Stephen Brade - Managing Director, Regional Head of Multinationals in Asia-Pacific expressed his desire to increase information exchange and cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese businesses and investment funds from many territories in HSBC's network, to explore the possibility of cooperation in key areas of the economy such as clean energy, infrastructure, insurance, etc.

On behalf of SCIC, Mr. Le Thanh Tuan - Deputy General Director of SCIC strongly expressed his appreciation for the information shared by the HSBC partner regarding investment trends and the desire for cooperation with HSBC and international investors in the coming future. Mr. Le Thanh Tuan also expressed his willingness to take advantage of cooperation opportunities between foreign investors and Vietnamese businesses through offering shares from SCIC's divestment portfolio, and investment in a number of large projects in Vietnam's infrastructure sector.
