On the morning of June 1, 2022, at the headquarters of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), Deputy General Director Dinh Viet Tung and representatives of SCIC welcomed and worked with the delegation of Sompo Holdings (Asia) Pte. Ltd. led by Mr. Vincent Ng., Executive Director, Sompo Holdings (Asia) Pte. Ltd. Accompanying with Vincent Ng. Also were Mr. Jeng Yen LAM, Vice President, Sompo Holdings (Asia) Pte. Ltd., Mr. Shintaro YAGI, Senior Deputy Manager, Sompo Holdings (Asia) Pte. Ltd. and Mr Macnguyen, Chief Executive Officer, Redsun Capital Ltd.

At the meeting, the two sides actively and openly discussed issues of mutual concern. Mr. Vincent Ng. updated Deputy General Director Dinh Viet Tung on the development orientation of Sompo Group in the coming time at a global scale, including the development strategy in the Asian market in general and Vietnam in particular.
At the same time, Sompo's representative shared information about the recent business performance of Union Insurance Company (UIC) in Vietnam and the cooperation between Sompo Insurance Company and Bao Minh Joint Stock Corporation (a company with SCIC's capital) as co-shareholders at UIC. Mr. Vincent Ng. also expressed Sompo’s desire that SCIC and Bao Minh Joint Stock Corporation would cooperate with Sompo in sharing information about the upcoming business plans to ensure the harmonious interests of shareholders at UIC, serving the development of the company in Vietnamese market.
In response to the sharing and concerns of the Sompo Representative, Mr. Dinh Viet Tung thanked his partner for updating information on regional business development strategies and taking note of comments and suggestions of Sompo on the coordination in the business plan among shareholders at UIC Vietnam towards appropriate solutions for the mutual benefits of the parties.
