SCIC welcomes and holds a working session with the Delegation from Roland Berger Consulting (Germany)

HANOI, Viet Nam, May 20, 2026 – At the head office of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC), Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Members of SCIC, and representatives from SCIC's departments welcomed and held a working session with the delegation from Roland Berger Consulting (Germany), led by Mr. Denis Depoux, Global Managing Director. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Bui Dao Thai Truong, Managing Director of Roland Berger Vietnam, and Mr. Dieter Billen, Partner and Head of Energy for Asia.

Overview of the meeting

During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh shared SCIC’s key strategic orientations for the coming period, including major priorities such as: concentrating investment resources on developing large-scale enterprises and highly-efficient enterprises; investing in projects in technology, innovation, digital transformation, and projects that are important to the economy; carrying out direct investment and providing support for State-owned enterprises to invest overseas; and conducting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to access new technologies, core technologies, strategic technologies and industries, or pursue high profits.

Representatives of Roland Berger expressed strong interest in SCIC’s operational model. The firm highly appreciated SCIC’s role and shared its extensive international experience in advising sovereign wealth funds and state capital holding corporations across Europe and Asia, including in France, Norway, China, and Indonesia.

Roland Berger affirmed its readiness to accompany SCIC by sharing global best practices and supporting the Corporation in developing investment strategies, screening sector-specific portfolios, and enhancing corporate governance and operational capabilities at portfolio companies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue in-depth discussions and exchange information on potential areas of cooperation, while remaining open to collaboration in all areas aligned with the capabilities and strengths of each party.
