SCIC held a meeting with the AXA Insurance Group

HANOI, Viet Nam, February 14, 2025 – The General Director of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) held a working session with the AXA Insurance Group to promote cooperative and investment relations as co-shareholders of Bao Minh Corporation JSC (Bao Minh).

Attending the meeting, representing SCIC were Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Huy, Board Member and General Director; Mr. Đinh Việt Tùng, Deputy General Director; and representatives from SCIC’s functional departments. Representing Bao Minh was Mr. Vũ Anh Tuấn, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of Baominh Corporation. Representing AXA were Mr. Jorge Guardiola Garcia-Quiros, Head of Corporate Finance, Capital & Mergers and Acquisitions, International Markets; and the Group’s Financial Strategy officers.

Overview of the working session

During the meeting, both parties openly discussed matters of mutual interest. Mr. Guardiola Garcia-Quiros shared AXA’s global development direction for the coming period, including its strategy for expanding in the Southeast Asian market and business prospects in Viet Nam.

With the shared goal of promoting and enhancing cooperation to improve corporate governance and business operations at Bao Minh, SCIC and AXA aligned on development directions for Bao Minh, including strengthening financial resources, upgrading IT systems, enhancing training programs, and improving the capacity of Bao Minh’s workforce. As a strategic shareholder, AXA is prepared to mobilize and share resources from the Group and its regional and international partners to support digital transformation, apply IT in business operations, deploy expert training, and enhance corporate governance capabilities. These efforts aim to help Bao Minh meet new requirements and maintain a strong position in Viet Nam’s insurance market.

On behalf of SCIC, Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Huy expressed sincere gratitude to the AXA delegation for visiting SCIC’s headquarters and sharing practical, valuable insights in the insurance sector. Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Huy also proposed that both parties maintain regular information exchanges and affirmed SCIC’s readiness to collaborate with AXA in reviewing and researching cooperation proposals at Bao Minh, in line with both parties’ investment criteria and strategies, as well as Viet Nam’s current regulations.
