SCIC successfully divested all state-held shares in Vinaconex
Pursuant to guidelines of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance, on November 22, 2018 at Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) completed the public auction sale of a single block of state-held shares in Vietnam Construction and Export-Import Joint Stock Corporation - Vinaconex (trading code: VCG).
The auction was duly executed in accordance with the Regulations of Auction Sale of SCIC’s shares in Vinaconex.
Total number of auctioned shares: 254,901,153 shares (equivalent to 57.71% of VCG's charter capital).
Bidding results:
- Winning bidder: An Quy Hung Company Limited.
- Winning bidding price: 28,900 VND/share.
- Total transaction value: 7,366,000,000,000 VND including:
+ Investor’s deposit paid before the auction: 542,900,000,000 VND
+ Investor’s payment of the remaining amount on 4 December 2018: 6,823,000,000,000 VND
On the due date of 4 December 2018, the winning investor made a full payment for auctioned shares in VCG. As a result, SCIC has successfully executed the auction. The total proceeds contributed to the state budget is approximately 2,000 billion VND higher than the disclosed starting price./.
