SCIC had a meeting with Blackrock

Hanoi – November 8^th, 2018, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, SCIC’s Deputy General Director, had a meeting with Blackrock on the occasion of its business trip to Vietnam to explore investment opportunities. BlackRock is one of the leading investment fund managers in the world with total asset under management of USD 6.29 trillion.

In the meeting, SCIC Leader shared the information regarding the Vietnam’s policies in investment and SOE equitization and suggested some areas that Blackrock may cooperate or co-invest with SCIC in Vietnam. Blackrock is also intending to invest in oil and gas sector in Vietnam and seeking the chance to cooperate with SCIC in potential projects. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to keep contact and information exchange to find cooperation opportunites in the future.
