“SCIC Fostering Young Talents” Scholarship for Outstanding Students
On 28 October 2016, the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) granted its scholarships to 30 outstanding students majoring in economics and finance from universities located in Hanoi, Hochiminh and Danang cities.
This scholarship, each valued at ten million Vietnam dongs (VND 10 million), is part of SCIC’s annual educational aid program aimed at assisting students with prominent study results and continuous academic efforts.
As stated by SCIC management, through this scholarship program, SCIC wishes to support and motivate excellent students with economics – finance major, as an “investment” initiative in getting human resources prepared for Vietnam’s financial market in the future.
The scholarship grantees, besides achieving excellent study results, need to possess positive personal qualities, high English proficiency and strong ambition. They are also required to demonstrate their logical thinking ability and soft skills adoption capability.
Vu Khanh Chi from the Academy of Finance, one among the 30 students said that being granted with SCIC’s scholarship is highly meaningful to her. Apart from being a source of financial assistance, SCIC’s scholarship also serves as great inspiration for her to obtain better study achievements and strive for a bright future.
At the scholarship granting ceremony, SCIC management said congratulations to the students and hoped that they will continue to study better to become future owners of the country, deserving with the expectations of their families, schools and the society.
It is known that the scholarship initiative for excellent students from economics, banking and finance universities has been implemented by SCIC for the past years. For many grantees, SCIC’s scholarship, in comparison with other local ones, is attractive not only for its cash value but also for the opportunity to participate in local and international training courses and workshops initiated by SCIC as well as possible recruitment offers. Since 2008, there have been 120 grantees of “SCIC Fostering Young Talents” scholarship with total value of 1.2 billion Vietnam dongs (VND 1.2 billion).
