SCIC organizes a conference on the project of building industrialized-scale vaccines production plant.

On 10/11/2015, The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has organized a conference on the project of building a vaccine production factory at industrial scale.

At the conference, from SCIC side, has the presence of Mr Lai Van Dao- the CEO, along with Deputy Directors and Heads of relevant departments. Attending from other collaboration agencies are representatives of Government Office, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Health, and some vaccine production plants in Vietnam namely: POLIVAC, Dalat Pasteur Vaccine Plant, and One member limited liability biology-vaccine center number 1. 

Acting as the Government Strategic Investor, SCIC is drafting the general proposal for the project. The key purpose is to build up a bio- pharmaceutical center with modern technology and good infrastructure in accordance with EU’s Standard and GMP/WHO international requirements. The center will produce preventative vaccines for human at the industrial scale to supply for the domestic needs, and put efforts towards to export seven advanced types of vaccine such as vaccines multivalent vaccine (4-5-6 in 1) , Rota vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, rabies vaccine….

At the conference, participants has also recognized SCIC’s efforts and valued contributions for the project. All sides totally agreed the urgency and importance of project to the social-security of people in Vietnam, so they will do their best to implement effectively and timely after reaching the consensus on the action plan.

SCIC suggested that in the coming time, administrative agencies would coordinate and support SCIC in the preparation and implementation process; create a favorable condition for SCIC to value and hand-over VIBIOTECH, and give recommendation for SCIC to classify the asset of the Korea ODA project. SCIC also appreciate if relevant departments could propose the Government such incentives on construction area, tax reduction, output’s consumption... to ensure the feasibility of the project. /.
